- How do we know that people have learned not just about environment and economic sustainability but about equity and sustainability
- How do learners from different cultural and social backgrounds learn about sustainable tourism?
- What does sustainability mean in different cultural contexts? Are there cross-cultural differences in sustainable tourism and learning – does it mean anything/different things in different contexts?
- How do we convey the notion that perceived realities need to be challenged while operating in institutions that live and foster the realities that are currently dominant? Can free-thinkers exist and be encouraged within the walls of structured learning environments?
- Exploration of the gap between theory and practice in various contexts (e.g. academics, tour guides, etc)
- How do we reconcile an industry that focuses on growth with sustainable philosophy and practice? Facilitating changes in mind-sets?
