The practices of CSR have attracted the attention of the investigators, who have prepared a great diversity of theories and the international organisms, which have done recommendations, so that the companies have added them in their strategies. The tourist industry has developed its activity on a fragile way and with few resources that have made it more sensible to the main part of the stakeholders, which are related to them .The aim of this article is to contribute to the principal existing theories of CSR, the documents of the international organisms, the standard of certifications and to explore the practices of CSR at the principal hotel chains to verify if the businessmen know them and develop them.
