Girona is located in Spain at the border to France. There are several airports in the region to your disposition. The Girona-Costa Brava airport is located 15 km away from the city. The French town Perpignan is 90 km away and Barcelona about 100 km from Girona. The city is also well connected by road and railway.

Ground transportation from the airport are provided by:

  • TRAIN
    There are train connections (RENFE) from the airport to the city center of Barcelona every 30min. A ticket costs about 2.40 EUR. From the central station Barcelona Sants, trains to Girona leave every hour or every half an hour, depending on the time of the day. For further information please visit

  • BUS
    Aerobus operates a bus service between Barcelona airport and the city center. It runs every 15min and can be taken from any of the terminals. A single ticket costs 3.60 EUR. For more information call (0034) 906 427 017 or visit

    In the city center metro connections can be used.

  • TAXI
    There are airport taxis in front of the terminals A, B and C. Costs run at about 25 EUR plus luggage fee for a trip to the center of Barcelona. Tours to Girona can cost about 100 EUR. For taxi reservations please call (0034) 93 223 5151.
